I also downloaded ebook from this site for each department Housemanship Workshop.
2) A good stetoscope
Buy if you like.
3) Mini calculator and Frank Shan Drug Doses
Mini calculator which can fit in you pocket or can be hand around on your nametag.
Frank Shan Drug Doses can be buy in Kamal Bookstore at RM14
4) Lots of black and red pen. (Red pen only use in OnG)
Really. You have to have a lot of it because why? It is because they always run away from your pocket. It is recommended for you to have backup bundle of pens in your bag.
5) Small notebooks
Currently everyone use their smartphone. :)
6) Comfortable and durable working shoes.
Fit you feet after wearing socks. Washable as we have to expect it get wet from patient vomitus or so on.
7) Shoes for OT and Labour Room
Waterproof and washable, covered at the front for spillage of blood and liqour in the OT room.
8) Comfortable. easy care working cloth
short sleeve for men
retractable/foldable sleeve for women
9) small sling bag
some small department won't allow you to wear labcoat such as ICU, NICU and peads
10) Digital handwatch
for manual pulse rate, respiratory rate count. sometime you have to perform manually infront of specialist.
11) Food supplements

12) BIIIIG water bottle
you can topup it in pantry
13) Snack/ 3-in-1 drink/ energy bar
because you will never have time to eat. be prepared
14) Smartphone with good internet coverage and speed
Hospital area covered by 4g speed. Smartphone which can use 4g. You will have to do alot of googling later + asking for tracing of cases from friend in another hospital or asking for presentation slide.
15) Powerbank
Lightweight, can fit in labcoat pocket, can be used to charge your smartphone 2-3 times.
Please label all of your belonging because in hospital what we own will always run away..
